Jay Allen served in the British Army for over 12 years as an Advanced Trauma Medic, until a series of incidents saw him eventually discharged in 2004.
However rather than use this as an excuse to ‘give up’ he has gone on to become a global award-winning motivational speaker, author and businessman.
Since leaving hospital, he either bought, acquired or set up from scratch four of his own businesses and co-founded two others.
Rather than shy away from his past, Jay remains true to his Royal Army Medical Corp motto In Arduis Fidelis (Faithful Through Adversity), and speaks of his battle for acceptance and understanding in a civilian workplace still hold- ing many preconceived perceptions regarding mental health issues.
In 2017 he was added to the Smith & Williamson POWER 100 List as one of the UK’s leading business Influencers and Mental Health Ambassadors.
His chosen theme for this Lunch gathering is ’Warning: Your marketing plan might be working!’.
The ticket price includes a donation to Jay Allen’s charity of choice, Combat Stress for which is a Regional Ambassador.
