Chester Business Club encourages people to Buy Local this Christmas

As we enter the final month of what has been one of the most difficult years on record for both Chester based businesses and the global economy alike, it’s great to see so many local businesses opening their doors to customers and clients once again following the end of the most recent lockdown.

Christmas may be different this year, but we have no doubt that the people of our great city will work together to make it as special as ever.

In order to do this, we must get behind our local business and buy local.

Having launched our ‘Buy Local’ campaign back in October, we have continued to provide as much support to businesses based in Chester and the surrounding area, but we can’t do it alone.

It couldn’t be easier to play your part in not only helping local business survive but thrive. If you’re shopping for gifts this Christmas, there are a host of fantastic businesses offering a variety of gifts, ranging from vouchers to bespoke hand made gifts, as well as amazing local produce that will give the whole family a treat for this Christmas and beyond.

Not sure where to start when it comes to buying local? Don’t worry, we’ve worked alongside our members to help bring you a directory of products and services that are available from local businesses throughout the holiday season.

You can view the directory by clicking here.

Don’t forget you can also support local businesses by purchasing a Chester Gift Card, introduced by Chester BID.

The Chester Gift Card can be spent at over 100 retailers, leisure suppliers and restaurants and bars across the city centre. It is a pre-paid Mastercard that acts as a local currency for anything from a coffee to a night in a hotel, an experience or a shopping spree. Cards are purchased online and delivered directly to the recipient.

You can learn more about the Chester Gift Card here.
