I have been in Chester Business Club for well over 10 years and have served on the Executive Committee and the Charity Ball Committee.  I am totally committed to this organisation!  I have made friends for life, developed and grown my businesses through contacts made and support from other Club members and have also thoroughly enjoyed social dinners and gatherings.  This is a Club with a real heart as well as a very strong business involvement – shown by the huge sums of money it has raised local Charities over the years.

For 30 years I ran a large Recruitment Company – Dee Recruitment Limited.  After selling this in 2009 I went into something entirely different!  With my daughter I founded The Secret Sanctuary Limited which specialises in Beauty Salons in four-star hotels.  It is still young, but is growing fast, now having Salons in Abode Chester and The Queen Hotel as well as supplying beauty and spa treatments in Nunsmere Hall, Northwich.  Along with often doing make up for top fashion shows we are also becoming more involved in organising and staging events ourselves, which gives us huge pleasure  – often working with Claire House Children’s’ Hospice to raise money for them.

Life

Ah Life!  I like and indeed need to work – but always in proportion to my family which is close and wonderful – particularly my grandson Zack who (obviously) is the best one in the world! I love the theatre and also am a really keen gardener, but I am a flower grower not vegetables!  I love parties, socialising and dining and always enjoy the wine, very often cheap but always Rose!  I am Vice-Chairman of Cheshire Witches (Women in Touch with Claire House) and help to raise money for this wonderful Charity and I serve as a Business Club Representative on the Chester Festivals Board.
